Cptn Midnight, we'll get our shot. As I have said so many times before, Houston is living on borrowed time. The price of oil will drop so much that most of those airlines will eventually leave. We have a more affluent market, a better educated and professional workforce and an all around better city...

Some interesting and mixed developments seem to be happening with regards to US-Indian flights and with India Civil aviation as a whole. 1 BOM-Shanghai-SFO via Jet Airways, will be suspended. 2 A possible merger between Kingfisher and Jet is being discussed, further King and Jet are hoping to cooper...

I guess we can kiss of any AI service to Texas anytime soon. With Indian carriers jumping ship from US cities, it is likely that we will not see Jet or Kingfisher either, -Mark

We are lucky here in Dallas, we will probably keep most of our int' l carriers, as few as they are, while the folks down south will probably see a big cut back, because our economy is not so closely tied to the oil companies, like Houston's is. We are more of a hi-tech center as well as a major tran...

Ain't gonna happen! As Cptn Midnight points out, oil is $75 a barrel and dropping the economy all over the world is tanking. How long will it be before the $200K execs at Exxon, Shell, and other oil companies are given pink slips and there are no more butts filling those $9,000 seats on Emirates? As...

With the price of oil dropping, some say that it might be in the $70.00 range by the end of the year, the slowing world economy and other factors, I believe that IAH's glory days of hogging all of the international air service glory maybe coming to a close. I would not be surprise if Qatar decides n...

Agreed, I highly doubt that either DFW or IAH-HOU will attract VA. If I were to wager on any Texas city(s) landing (if you'll pardon the pun), I would say that AUS or SAT would be the most likely candidates.

For years Qantas has been jerking DFW around with promises of starting a DFW flight. I have a friend who is a travel agent in Perth and in essence she says that QF at DFW is simply not going to happen. She also says that if Qantas really wanted DFW, then one of the myrid of the QF 744s (5) that sit ...

Pretty sad, imo, but DFW will soon have it's day in the sun and IAH will fade into obscurity.
