Texas Air Shuttle seeks passenger flights from FTW Meacham

Postby Greg on Tue Aug 18, 2015 6:53 am

Texas Air Shuttle has applied to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for Commuter Air Carrier Authority. Authorization in hand, the all-you-can-fly start-up intends to offer scheduled daily return flights connecting Houston Lone Star, Fort Worth Meacham, and San Antonio's Stinson Municipal Airport using a pair of Beech (twin turboprop) King Air 200s.

Texas Air Shuttle LLC was formed in February of last year following the acquisition of Galaxy Air Services FBO, LLC., a Fixed-base Operator (FBO) located at Lone Star Executive Airport in Conroe, Texas.

Earlier this year, the airline indicated plans to eventually expand its operations into other cities in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

I am all for this, as FTW is very, very convenient for me 8-) (and it is all about me!)

"Houston" Lone Star is really Conroe Lone Star which is close to the Woodlands and the NW Houston burbs. I would have thought IAH or HOU or even Sugar Land would be a better choice since NW Houston is closer to FTW.

I'd love a Mesa like op to come back and fly FTW-IAH or HOU and FTW-AUS...
