AA adding 2nd daily DFW-CDG, will AF leave?

Postby Capt. Ft. Worth on Thu Dec 13, 2018 10:03 am

AA just announced several adds including 2nd daily DFW-MAD & CDG.

Taking off the rose coloured (or orange for DFW...LOL) does that mean AF is likely to depart? I would think so unless AF has some major biz contracts in the area such as they do at IAH. AA is the 800lb gorilla as many know so I presume they do and provide more connections. I also presume the old Delta/SkyTeam FFlyer base from the hub days must be in decline slightly affecting AF's chances.

The rate that we have been losing int’l carriers, it would not surprise me. Unlike down in Houston, where UA seems to have a laid back mindset regarding int’l competition, AA does not take too kindly to interlopers intruding on their turf. Just have wait and see.
