DFW Foreign Carrier Estimated January 2020 Loads

Postby Greg on Wed Mar 25, 2020 9:55 am

Here are the estimated load factors for the foreign carriers at DFW for January 2020, the last full month before the effects of the coronavirus kicked in. Pretty good numbers overall for January, which is typically a pretty slow and lightly traveled month. Volaris added their additional destinations in January, which explains their jump in flights.

How did we arrive at the data?
I took publicly available seat counts and other published data showing available data and came up with these estimates. I do not guarantee 100% accuracy, but I think we are fairly close to the true numbers. OAG, Various Source websites, airline sites etc.

Assumptions:
AeroMexico - 31 flights with 99 seats (E190s)
Air Canada - 155 flights with 76 seats (E175s and CRJ900s)
Avianca - 17 flights with 120 seats, 13 flights with 150 seats, and one flights with 183 seats (A320s)
British Airways –30 flights with 275 seats (B744s)
Emirates - 31 flights with 354 seats (B773s)
Interjet - 46 flights with 150 seats, 16 flights with 162 seats (A320s)
Japan Airlines - 31 flights with 195 seats (B789s)
Korean - 18 flights with 277 seats (B773s)
Lufthansa - 16 flights with 255 seats, 13 flights with 276 seats (A343s and A333s)
Qantas – 30 flights with 484 seats inbound and 384 seats outbound (lower outbound estimate for blocked seats; A380s)
Qatar – 31 flights with 327 seats (A350-1000s)
Volaris - 17 flights with 175 seats, 10 flights with 174 seats, three flights with 186 seats, one flight with 194 seats
