Nova Air to DFW?

Postby Greg on Mon Jul 14, 2008 11:49 am

Apparently Nova Air, a Mexican outfit with a fleet of three 737-200s, is in the works to start some limited DFW operations. That would certainly be something different to take photos of.

Interesting. Charter? What destinations?
And what is their livery (I hate the new search features over at a.net)?

Here's what I found from Wikipedia.....apparently it's based in Mexico City and it's a charter airline.

Thanks Capt!!!Not a terribly exciting livery, but at least it's something new.

Nova was at DFW yesterday, they will be operating Thursdays and Sundays, arriving at 1220pm, departing 110pm, for the next month. After that, unknown.

So it's not year-round charter flights like Champion. Bummer.

Well I think I'll brave the 103 degree heat tomorrow and try for a shot. I assume they will land on the 18s like the other inbound flights from Mexico. It's been 2 years since I've seen a -200 at DFW, so this will be like Christmas in July. Too bad about the livery though. Maybe if we're lucky they still fly the Sky King hybrid; that one looks pretty cool.

Looks like they're all white now. They have a cool website, though. Check it out: http://www.novaair.net/
