DFW Foreign Carrier Estimated January 2019 Loads

Here are the estimated load factors for the foreign carriers at DFW for January 2019. What immediately stands out is Japan Airlines and their 102% departing load factor. How can this be? Well of course, it cannot. I've been calculating Japan's numbers using the 195 seats 787-9 on the route, which is showing up in various schedules, OAG etc. However, there is a 205 seat version as well, so perhaps that is now being used on the DFW-NRT run. IF that is the case, put Japan at 6,293 seats and 90.23% inbound, 97.92% outbound, and 94.07% overall. If someone in the know can confirm what JL is using on DFW, please let me know.

Either way, Japan Airlines continues to see tremendous performance on the route, I wonder how they are doing on cargo as well. If it is like American's two daily DFW-NRT, the answer would be outstanding.

How did we arrive at the data?
I took publicly available seat counts and other published data showing available data and came up with these estimates. I do not guarantee 100% accuracy, but I think we are fairly close to the true numbers. OAG, Various Source websites, airline sites etc.

Assumptions:
AeroMexico - 62 flights with 99 seats
Air Canada - 149 flights with 76 seats
Avianca - 31 flights with 96 seats
British Airways – 26 flights with 226 seats
Emirates - 31 flights with 354 seats
Icelandair - five flights with 183 seats
Interjet - 52 flights with 150 seats, four flights with 192 seats
Japan Airlines - 31 flights with 195 seats
Korean - 18 flights with 291 seats
Lufthansa - 27 flights with 255 seats
Qantas – 31 flights with 484 seats inbound and 355 seats outbound (lower outbound estimate for blocked seats)
Qatar – 21 flights with 358 seats, 10 flights with 354 seats
Volaris - 18 flights with 179 seats

I checked a couple of future flights next week, and the seat map shows 44/35/116, for 195 seats. Not sure what they did.

Maybe one or two days they switched in a bigger plane or something.
