2,129 guns have been found in carry-on bags at security checkpoints by TSA screeners at DFW in the last 11 years, from 2012-2022. The 385 guns found last year at DFW broke the previous record, set in 2021, of 317 by 21.4 percent. From 2012 to last year, DFW has seen a 393.6 percent increase in the number of guns found in passengers' carry-on bags.
