Spotting Locations

Post by ZuluLima »

I've put together a map showing various places around DFW that can be used for photography, or just plain spotting. If anyone has further places to recommend, let me know and I will check them out and add them. I could also use a pic or two from the spots that don't have any yet.

Enjoy!

VERY cool. Interesting also that the sat photos are relatively up to date with the taxiway construction visible by the old FP.

Yeah, if memory serves, it was 2 or 3 months ago that DFW was updated. Those images are from late 2007 by my estimation. It sure took Google long enough. Before the update D Terminal was beginning construction and the lengthened runways were'nt there. Also E-Terminal Satellite was still a Delta RJ city.

Ah, you're right- I had forgotten about the old photos having D still under construction.

Also try the Skylink MSF parking lot on Crossunder 2. You can get aircraft as they pass over the Yankee Bridge.

I know that this is an old thread, but for any who do check it. The ADE building at 3003 S. Airfield road has plenty of parking, and you may be able to weave your way to the semi-permanent trailers out back and get some great holding pad/north operations photos of 18L/R.
